Job description
HARP Home Services in Windsor, CT has an immediate need for an HVAC Service Manager.
The responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- Confer with supervisory personnel, technicians or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints or job site issues.
- Plan, organize or direct activities concerned with the maintenance and service of HVAC.
- Ability & willingness to work a flexible schedule as necessary to meet customer requirements.
- Understand operational concepts including planning, scheduling and logistics.
- Establish a team culture among service department personnel and hold the team to a high standard of customer satisfaction.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Plan, schedule and coordinate service department activities to meet the budget.
- Evaluate workload and schedule service work in a way that best utilizes manpower and maximizes profit.
- Determine labor and routing requirements for efficiently dispatching workers to job.
- Assist the dispatching operation to ensure appropriate tech selection for the type of service.
- Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking.
- Develop or implement quality control programs.
- Assist with technical information and logistics as needed in the requisition of parts and materials to complete jobs.
- Develop and/or revise methods to reach monthly, quarterly and yearly departmental goals.
- Identify trends and problem areas and take immediate action based on findings.
- Develop innovations to maintain market lead and share best practices across the organization.
- Recruit, select and train service department employees.
- Complete performance reviews for direct reports.
- Evaluate staff to determine training requirements.
- Provide on-the-job training and support to employees.
- Coach and motivate technicians to work at their maximum productivity; coach, train and develop technicians to increase work and sales.
- Conduct weekly service team meetings.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of (5) five years of prior HVAC experience required.
- Minimum of (2) two years of prior Management or Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with standard MS Office programs required (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Service Titan software is a plus.
- Must be available after hours or on occasional weekends as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
